Julia Hogan is a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice in Longmont, CO. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults facing any and all of the challenges presented during that wild phase of life, including difficulty managing life transitions, forging authentic identities, navigating conflicts with family and friends, and coping with the stresses of day to day life. Julia has a particular affinity for supporting clients who are experiencing challenges in their school environment, and is able to pull from her experience working as a school social worker to aid her clients in feeling successful at school.
Clients may describe her as laid-back, relatable, patient, and good-humored. She leads with empathy, validation, and acceptance at the heart of her work, and strives to strike a balance of validating experiences while also providing gentle challenges or corrections when needed. Julia doesn’t believe in rigidly following any one treatment modality, and she has an abundance of clinical training in her back pocket, and will use whatever approach feels right in that moment. She believes in meeting clients where they are at, and intuitively following their lead. The clinical modalities Julia may pull from most often include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Julia accepts private pay, and has a limited number of spots available for Medicaid CCHA clients in her private practice. She offers a free 15 minute consultation for new clients.
