About Us
Hi! I’m Marissa!
I am a therapist just like you who has also struggled with feeling alone and disconnected from community as I pushed my practice forward. I now have a thriving private practice and have been in the field for several years learning, growing, and building from my experiences.
I created Therapists in the Wild out of a longing for community once I realized the isolation one can feel in private practice. I’d love to have you join us in community and connection as we continue to celebrate and encourage our fellow therapists and work toward thriving practices and thriving lives together.
Marissa works with adults through a relational and experiential approach and specializes in working with women’s issues, low self-worth, anxiety, and trauma. Licensed as an LMFT in both Colorado and California, she provides teletherapy across both states and offers clinical consultation to Master’s level clinicians seeking more support in their work. She is a certified ecotherapist and does nature based therapy in Boulder County’s parks and trails along with offering Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), IFS, EMDR, Lifespan Integration, and mindfulness approaches in her work with clients. Marissa received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University and is committed to building her clinical skills as a lifelong student through advanced trainings each year. Marissa offers nature/wellness retreats for therapists and healers annually.
